Hunter First Teeth Cleaning
Hunter had his first teeth Cleaning and passed with flying colors! No Cavities, yeah Son!

This was an amazing year for Hunter and Dad at the Doheny Gathering of the Tribes. Not only did Dad post a 9.2 and a 7.8 and then gets himself DQ'ed for catching too many waves (Firing Church Beach Trestles how can you blame me), but Hunter hiked down to Trestles all by himself!
I have been caring my Son (plus Surf board bags, diapers, baby bags, sand toys and towels) down to contests for 3 years now and it has been fun and challenging to say the least :) But this year was an amazing surprise. I had an 8am Heat and Hunter was a champ! He was up at 5am with me loading the car, then watching his movies as i packed for the hike down to Trestles, and then ate his own breakfast in the car! The final amazing surprise from my Son was when he looked at me and said, "you don't need to carry me Dad, I can walk down"! I almost had a heart attack right then and there.......i realized my Son and I were hiking to Trestles together for the First time to surf! This is a Huge step in a Surfer Dads life! Thank you Hunter!

first school ooops
Hunter got frustrated and hit one of his classmates on Tuesday. His Mom and I took away some of his special toys for a small punishment as well as talked to him repeatedly about using your words and to hit or push. We really tried to focus on using your words when ever your angry or frustrated.
Today I go to pick up Hunter at school and his teacher said, "Hunter yelled at one of his teachers". I ask what happened and his teacher said, "Hunter said move or I'll push you down." Hunter then got in trouble for yelling and walked over to his teacher and said, "sorry I was frustrated and wanted you to move so I used my words".
Wow, he sure did use his words, work in progress :) and always respect your teachers!
